Emilie Greaker is affiliated with the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE), has a Master of Science plus an engineering degree from Toulouse. She works on the safe use of artificial intelligence in safety-critical systems. Her current work focuses on how structured safety arguments can be used to support responsible deployment of AI, including applications involving black-box reinforcement learning in real-time control systems.
She has recently presented related work together with IFE Principal Scientist Rune Winther, and public programme information describes her as a Master’s student in Engineering.
At AI+ESRA, she will speak about how established safety methods can help ensure safe use of AI even when the AI system itself cannot be assumed to be inherently safe.
