Each spring, the historic town of Halden becomes a meeting point for songwriters, storytellers, and music lovers when Kaktus Festival brings together some of the most distinctive voices in indie, folk, and americana. Across three days, intimate concerts, unique collaborations, and carefully curated lineups create a festival experience that is as personal as it is powerful.

The festival begins inside the beautiful and historic Fredrikshald Theatre, setting the tone for the weekend with a special collaborative evening. Several of the festival artists join forces with the festival house band Spirit in the Dark, led by Norwegian guitarist and producer Geir Sundstøl.

Expect spontaneous moments, rare collaborations, and reimagined versions of songs from some of the festival’s most celebrated artists.
