Lena has a long and distinguished background in digitalisation and AI, beginning with a Master’s degree in Computational Linguistics in 1988 and a PhD titled ”Design of Learning Environments for IT Users” in 1996. Her career has since spanned a broad range of roles, including participation in a dotcom journey, serving as chairperson of the Program Committee on Software Intensive Systems and Information Intensive Systems at the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research, and working as an Innovation Advisor.
Today, Lena is a Project Manager at the Collaboration Office at Lund University, where she is deeply involved in advancing the use of AI within university-driven utilisation and innovation processes.
She also contributes to ekip, an EU‑funded innovation policy platform for the cultural and creative industries. The initiative strengthens innovation ecosystems by integrating the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) through open innovation approaches.
