Marius Hupperz is a researcher at Fraunhofer ISST, part of Europe’s largest organization for research in applied sciences. With a background in Industrial Engineering from Cologne, Dortmund, and Lisbon, he has been active in the field of data sharing since 2018.

As a project lead, his work focuses on data sharing, data management, and digital business models. His expertise includes the design and implementation of domain-specific data spaces, including projects in the materials and geospatial sectors, as well as operational data spaces like the Mobility Data Space and Catena-X. His PhD research explores the implementation of data trustees in data space environments. He is currently investigating the role of AI Labs and AI giga factories in future data ecosystems..
