Ezra is a sophomore studying Biomedical Engineering at Virginia Tech and an NREMT (Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician working across emergency medical service organizations throughout New York State and Virginia, and on his campus, the Virginia Tech Rescue Squad. Ezra is originally from New York, and in his free time enjoys baking banana bread and playing pickleball. His background combines biomedical device development and direct patient care. His experiences in both engineering and healthcare give him a practical and technical perspective on how AI supports healthcare providers in the field and ultimately enhances patient care quality.
When he’s not directly working with patients, Ezra contributes to biomedical research and student design team projects that focus on the creation of low-cost medical devices and continuous patient monitoring systems. He is especially interested in how AI-driven technologies may be applied to reduce administrative burden, improve documentation efficiency, and support more in-depth and accurate monitoring of patient status. Improving these aspects of the healthcare system will allow providers to make quicker and more informed decisions while preserving the human element of patient care.
At AI+ you will meet Ezra together with his dad in a Dad & son special.
