Professor Stelian Brad, PhD Eng., PhD Econ., is Dean at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, President of the Cluj IT Cluster, Chair of the DIH4Society European Digital Innovation Hub, cofounder and Chair of the Board of cyberGEIGER, a Germany-based start-up, and cofounder of the International Society for AI-powered Innovation and Invention.
Within the European TRIZ Association, he currently serves on the Executive Board as Scientific Coordinator, after serving as President from 2020 to 2025. With a cross-disciplinary background spanning intelligent robotics, AI for inventive design, software business, innovation management, and strategic transformation, he connects academic research with real-world decision contexts. A distinctive element of his work is the integration of AI, structured invention, and resilience thinking into decision frameworks for products, business models, and intelligent systems.
He has contributed to more than 200 research and innovation projects and works with companies, clusters, and public institutions. His current professional focus is on AI for product invention and business innovation, resilient business model design, cognitive robotics, and the development of software-defined organizations for competitiveness under uncertainty.
