Heri Ramampiaro is Head of department and professor at the Department of Computer Science, NTNU Trondheim. He is also Director of the Norwegian Open AI-Lab at NTNU.

Ramampiaro has chaired the Expert Group on Sharing of Industrial data (2021-2022), appointed by the  Norwegian government, and been member of the UN Science, Policy and Business Forum for the environment. He has also contributed to the Report by the Policy Network on Environment and Digitalisation,  “Recommendations on Using Digitalisation for Our Common Future” (2021), published by UN  Internet Governance Forum (IGF).

Ramampiaro’s current main research interests include machine learning, information extraction, data and text mining.
